The whole point of this webcomic venture was to see if I could get Lance to do a comic where somebody gets stabbed in the face with a jar of pee. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED.
BUCKETS OF BLOOD BUCKETS OF BLOOOOOOD

So, about today's page: You'll find that its brutality is nonpareil with anything else found in our archives, and if we didn't all ready have an R rating, we sure as hell do now! I remember writing this, and then thinking "maybe this is going a little too far." I ran it by Danny, who is the model-image of sainthood, and he suggested that it could be made so much more brutal. So, I think we found a fairly good median there. I swear this is important to the plot! Sort of!

Oh right, I have a webcomic now. I KNEW I FORGOT SOMETHING. Anyways, the burning crusade is dominating all my free time but now that Lance doesn't play anymore I've taken to leveling a fucking PALADIN. See what happens when he's not around to call people stupid?
Todays comic holds a special place in my heart because it's how I met my good friend Ray. Although I never bought his urine I did sign him up for a sweet 10 year contract to be my sidekick. I'm thinking about offering him a new deal because he's up for free agency in 2008 and I'll be damned if I let Lance pick up the rights to him.
Harumph!

Up to nine pages! If you missed it on Wednesday, page 8 went up, I just didn't make a newspost on account of not feeling like it. But if you look on the left side here, I added a thing under the Trigger button that I can just update so I don't have to make a newspost every time. Huzzah!
Also, I went and made a spot on ComicSpace if anybody's interested. However, I will have to be missing the lower half of my torso before I set up a MySpace page. NEVER HAPPENING!
Lastly, thanks to everybody who's been sending the link here around since we've been back, you guys are some kind of awesome. See you next week!

Another Monday, another page. One thing I really liked about working on this book was writing the old-school gumshoe narrative. Doing the narrative like this made character development a lot of fun for me, and I thank my co-writer for letting me burke him with 8,000 reasons this project makes me feel sexy. I take getting punched in the face by people I work with as a compliment and a show of respect and a want to have man-on-man relations with me. I don't swing that way, but I'm still flattered, Dan.
Lastly, little to no effort, eh? You have stirred the viper's nest, my friend. And rest assured that it is most certainly on.
High-brow!

Here it is, the moment it's been leading up to all week. Danny and I were talking on Ventrilo one night, just shooting the bull, and this guy came into our channel and tried to "yuk it up" with the laughs. His jokes were just so bad that I couldn't even force myself to feign laughter without feeling like I'd just witnessed a murder, then lied to the police about who I'd seen commit the crime because the dude just looked so badass when he did it and I secretly hoped I'd run into him again and see some more of that badassery. The first and third panels are basically word-for-word one of the things he threw at us. If you actually do check Wikipedia on it, you'll find a startling inaccuracy in there. It was just too retarded not to use.
If you haven't seen Brad Neely's latest video, I highly reccommend it. I'm out!

Burning Crusade has been out a day now, so it should be about five weeks before we hear from Danny Boy again. I was in Best Buy earlier today picking up WarioWare: Smooth Moves for the Wii with my roommate, and happened by the huge Burning Crusade display and just sort of groaked at it for a minute before forcing myself to run, bitch. Run FAR. As much as I want to play it, I can't trust myself not to get hooked on it again. Since I stopped playing, it feels like I busted out of the joint, but for some reason want to get back in. I swear to God, in the future the prison system is going to be replaced by MMOs.
So, to everyone on Dragonblight that's been sending me e-mails, IMs and whatever else threatening me with death if I don't come back, I issue a challenge: BRING IT ON, FUCKERBITCHES. And also, Kaminae is a child predator. Just a head's up.
See you Friday!

Page 3 is a go, and osht cliffhanger just in time for the weekend. Didn't plan out any cliffhangers intentionally when we wrote this, but goddamn that makes for some good TV.
First week's done and we haven't fallen off the ball for updates yet. Sounds like a reason to drink if I needed to make one up! Which I'm gonna!
See you on Monday for another week of the same ol', same ol'.

I don't want to make a news post or anything now because by around Wednesday next week you're all gonna hate me with SUCH A PASSION.
But I needed to say one thing:
The two unread Fantasticness comics that Lance uploaded I think show the absolute pinnacle of beauty. I couldn't even look Wendy in the face for her work on this, I would just bow down and cry. She did more for Fantasticness than I have seen in most webcomics out there in terms of atmosphere and color and she proved to be a far greater artist than I. Wendy someday I'm going to solicit your work for Supafine again, because you're the best in the industry and I hope you never stop rocking.
Where does the time go?

Oh man, it seems like not so long ago when this whole "webcomic" thing was fresh and fun. It had that new car smell to it. I look back fondly on the anticipation of the first update. Back then Lance and I worked as a team towards a common goal; the goal of bringing quality entertainment to a otherwise fucking retarded webcomic world.
Now?
That fucker is dead to me. He's all about the endorsments and the blingy now. NEWS FLASH LANCE: YOUR SHIT STINKS LIKE ASS.
Anyways, I'ma keep on keepin' on to make this webcomic fucking work. Oh and Anthony will help some too, I guess.
SNOT ROCKETS AND TITTY MILK NICK, SNOT ROCKETS AND TITTY MILK.

Page 2 is live! I decided to give Anthony a break and have been doing the lettering of the comic myself, since he's got the blunt end of the work as far as time investment in this goes. I might not have offered to do this if I'd known of his pernicious intent:
(00:05:34) Lance: page 2 is a fucking monster to letter (00:37:24) Anthony: IT GETS WORSE SUCKER THAT'S WHY I GAVE YOU THE JOB AS SOON AS YOU OFFERED HAHAHAHAHA (00:38:06) Lance: I'LL SHOW YOU, ASSHOLE
Granted, I was the one who decided how much text goes on each page in the first place, but regardless, it's on, bitch. One of these days, I'll get him back. And he'll never see it coming.
Oh, quick thing here: when I brought the site back up, I posted two Fantasticness strips that were made last summer and never got posted. JUST SO YOU KNOW. We should maybe finish that story arc sometime here. Maybe. Anyways, check back for more Trigger on Friday!

I'm honored (and embarassed) to be part of the 15th... 16th? reincarnation of Supafine.com! I've come up with some pretty silly shit for Lance to put in this "webcomic" and he's thrown in a couple of ol' dick and fart jokes for all you old fans! It's really cool to see what Ant's doing with the artwork, the comic really feels alive and we all hope you enjoy it. Remember folks; if you don't like it, we don't want you back!
Well lookie here!

So we've been gone for like two years, basically. We cropped up for a few strips in that span, but we never stuck around. I was sick to death of doing strips, and it got to the point where it was a chore just to write them, and we'd only put out around 135 or so of them; Not really that much in the cartooning game. I loved doing it for a good chunk of the run, but after a while I just got tired of basically doing the same thing over and over again. Yeah, the jokes were all different, but the formula was the same.
I don't really like comic strips, so why was I writing them? Because I'm into comic books. So hey, why not do that? Seems like a pretty awesome idea to me! When I played WoW, I picked up a vagrant by the name of Danny Boy and we ended up shooting ideas back and forth. This resulted in the two of us spending a few nights hammering out a script by candle light over dinner, while listening to Carcass and just letting that music take us away.
Anyways, here's the meat of what's going on. We've ditched the strip format in favor of the comic book one. We're going to be putting out different "books" which take place in the same universe, but follow their own stories. We'll be posting these page-by-page, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday each week. Between these, new chapters of Ninja Death Star Man (co-written by Scott Smith) will be going up. We're all really digging this format, and I hope you guys will, too.
Our first offering is Nick Trigger: Ace Dick in "Parlor Tricks." I'd originally written this for another artist who asked me for a detective comic he could draw a couple of years ago, and it was 6 pages long. It never got drawn, but I held onto the original script. When I got together with Danny Boy, the two of us ended up completely rewriting it and wound up with around 30 pages. I really like how it turned out, and had a blast working on it. Anthony took the reigns as arter once again, and I like the style he's chosen for it. Anyways, the first page is live. LOOK UPON IT.
Still have some stuff to add to the site, despite having ample time to do it, but all of the important stuff is here. I trudged through our cam portal, pruned about 40 slots since they were either dead or hadn't been updated in an entire year or better, and put it back up. Fun times! Lastly, if you still have the old RSS feed for some reason, I've got a new one running if you want to grab that. See you Wednesday!
